Grapefruit Rosemary Spritzer

Using Essential Oils

Citrus+Herb=Glorious

MasterChef’s got nothing on this drink.  Young Living’s Vitality line of Essential Oils really helps kick your food and beverages up a notch.  Not only does using Rosemary Vitality Essential Oil instead of fresh Rosemary save the step of straining the syrup, but also is beneficial to the digestive system

Ingredients

for the rosemary syrup:
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
2-5 drops of Rosemary Vitality EO

for the cocktail
2oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1-2oz Rosemary Syrup
1 1/2oz Gin
3 drops Grapefruit Vitality EO
Club Soda to taste

Heat and stir

Combine the water & sugar in a pan over medium heat
Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture slightly thickens
Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10mins
Add 2-5 drops of Rosemary Vitality EO to your tasting*

the good stuff…

While the syrup is cooling, juice your grapefruits
Add grapefruit {juice and EO} gin and syrup to shaker
Put ice in shaker and shake till it’s cold
Pour into glass of your choice and top with soda

Enjoy!

Top off with a slice of grapefruit
Each batch of Rosemary Syrup can make 4-8 drinks
So either make these for a gathering or store it
Good for up to 7 days in the refrigerator

Final Tips:
Drop the Vitality Essential Oil into a spoon before pouring in {to prevent adding to much}
Add juice and EOs as desires to taste
