Did you know that the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act (the law governing the safety of chemicals we are exposed to in our everyday lives) grandfathered in 1000’s of chemicals with NO safety testing?  The average female applies 80 chemicals before breakfast.  They come from our health and personal care products (shampoo, moisturizer, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, pill coatings and fillers.) My role as an essential oils educator is based upon the concept of living a chemical-free lifestyle.  The research is solid; everyday chemical exposures are wreaking havoc on our health.

Speaking of research, there are over 26,000 published studies on essential oils!

If you choose organic foods to keep your body “clean,” it only makes sense to do the same with all other products that get into your blood stream.  It only takes 26 seconds for any chemical applied to the skin to enter your blood stream.

Our immune system can only process and detox so many offenders in a day.  When we overwhelm this system with a new daily supply of toxins, it has to choose between deleting damaged cells, removing chemicals and disabling pathogens.  We have a choice.  They are called natural wellness options.

After years of experimenting with a variety of natural solutions, essential oils were a game-changer for me and my family.  They can be used for wellness, body care, cleaning and emotional shifting.  They provide natural and soothing support for the following systems and challenges:

If essential oils resonate with you, I recommend using them for your own self-care first:  just like trying a new recipe before sharing it.   I started with myself and my family, including my dog who loved the smell and soothing joint support! 

The presentation mentions using essential oils in your nutrition practice, but don’t get overly-focused on that.  I recommend starting with simply enjoying the oils for personal wellness support and toxic-free lifestyle choices.  You  may also enjoy reading my RD article, also in the RDN area.  It contains a list of practical everyday essential oil uses.
